2 Amritsar-bound SpiceJet aircraft grounded in Delhi

Amritsar: Four days after launching services connecting Amritsar with national Capital and Srinagar, two SpiceJet aircraft on Monday failed to take off from New Delhi for Amritsar due to “technical glitch” leaving passengers in a lurch for hours.
High drama was witnessed at New Delhi airport with passengers being made to undergo the boarding process and check-in thrice, before SpiceJet clubbed passengers of its morning and afternoon flights for Amritsar into another aircraft which landed at Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport in the Holy City at 3:30 pm.
Sources said both the Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft took to the runway but failed to take off.
