AAI conducts dry run of new domestic terminal at Chennai airport

Chennai: Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Tuesday conducted a dry run of new domestic terminal at Chennai airport. More than 50 employees of airlines and the airport acted as passengers to test whether the terminal is ready to handle departures, at 2.30pm.
The staff carried bags, walked into the swanky steel and glass terminal through its first floor departure gates and went through all procedures departing domestic passengers have to carry out inside a terminal.
They were greeted by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) person who checked their 'tickets' and let them inside. The `passengers' checked in, got their boarding passes, passed through security checks and went up to the door of aero bridges.
