New Delhi: Following complaints that airlines were charging a fee to give passengers a ticket printout, aviation regulator DGCA on Friday asked them to display the amount on the tickets by including it in the tariff sheet.
The direction came in the wake of complaints that some airlines were charging Rs 50 for a ticket printout at the airport counter if a passenger asked for it.
This was among some instructions which were given to senior officials of all Indian airlines by the newly-appointed Director General of Civil Aviation Prashant Sukul here.
Sukul also asked the airlines to strictly adhere to the prescribed safety standards and keep a close watch on security issues, saying these two issues should not be compromised even if the carriers faced tremendous financial stress.
