Ephidrine worth 75 lakhs seized at Imphal airport

Imphal: A consignment of Ephidrine tablets worth around Rs 75 lakhs with a total weight of 75 kg was seized this afternoon around 12:30pm from the cargo of Indian Airlines aircraft, IA-889 coming from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
The seizure was made by a team of the Imphal West police.
According to eyewitnesses, the consignment containing Actiman tablets containing pseudo-ephidrine 60 mg were addressed to one Ghanashyam of Imphal.
The consignment was send by one Amar from Delhi as written on the package, eyewitnesses told IFP.
