Flight not allowed to land due to bad weather, returns to Delhi

Chandigarh Passengers of Air India’s flight (AI-864), which was to land in Chandigarh at 10.40 am on Friday were forced to return to Delhi after the flight was not allowed to land in Chandigarh due to inclement weather conditions.
The passengers, a harried lot that included some foreign nationals, had to wait for three hours before they were finally taken back to Chandigarh in the same flight. The flight finally landed in Chandigarh at 1.20 pm.
The flight was about to land in Chandigarh when the Air Traffic Control (ATC) alerted the pilot about bad weather conditions. After hovering for few minutes, the pilot took the flight back to Delhi.
Some passengers, however, objected to this decision and later refused to board the same flight to fly back to Chandigarh.
