HC relief air hostess, grounded for being over-weight

New Delhi: The Delhi Court on Tuesday directed the Alliance Airlines to constitute a medical board to assess the fitness of one of its air hostesses, sacked for being over-weight.
Salome Singsit had challenged the airlines' decision to sack her contending that she had breached the weight limit due to medical reasons.
Allowing he plea, Justice Suresh Kait noted that the air hostess, who had a ten years experience with the Airlines in flying was an ‘asset’ and cannot be ‘thrown’ out without assessing her health.
