Major reshuffle soon in aviation ministry

New Delhi: Civil aviation minister Ajit Singh will soon get a new 'A' team as his ministry is set for a major reshuffle by next month.
The posts of civil aviation secretary, sector regulator DGCA head, two joint secretaries and three directors will be filled soon.
To begin with KN Srivastava (a 1978 batch IAS officer from the Karnataka cadre), who at present is serving as the special secretary and financial advisor to the external affairs ministry, is expected to replace aviation secretary Dr SNA Zaidi, who retires on July 31.
In addition, the temporary Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) head Prashant Sukul will hand over charge to Arun Mishra (a 1986 batch IAS officer from the West Bengal cadre), who was posted in Montreal as the India's representative to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
