Purandeswari meets official on vizag airport

Visakhapatnam: Stung by the Union finance ministry rejecting the proposal to employ additional manpower to run Vizag airport 24/7, the local MP and the Union minister of state for human resource development, Ms D. Purandeswari, on Wednesday, met the Union MoS for finance, Mr Namo Narain Meena, and finance secretary (Expenditure) Sumit Bose in New Delhi.
In the backdrop of Silk Air seeking written assurance on the extension of airport timings which was linked to additional manpower, she urged the minister and the senior official to immediately sanction the same.
