In yet another case of gross negligence, the ground staff of the Jet Airways has reportedly damaged the filming equipment of a journalist who landed on 30th of July at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati from Mumbai. The journalist was on a visit to cover the Assam flood situation from an international news agency of repute.
He said that the ground staff admitted the fault in black and white immediately. However, the Jet head-office rejected the compliant without enquiring with the local staff. They simply refused to accept the responsibility for the damage to the equipment and claimed that it happened because of air turbulence which is why, the airlines are not liable for it. ‘How can you justify a moderate air turbulence damaging heavy duty professional filming equipment’’, wonders Anshul Ojha.
