Lunglei residents want airport at Kawnzar

Aizawl: The residence of Lunglei township under the banner of Chhimbial Chhantu has asked the government to survey Kawnzar area in Vuakmual for the proposed airport in Lunglei District.
In a meeting held on Friday, Chhimbial Chhantu passed nine resolutions demanding infractures like setting up of Lunglei Municipal Board, introduction of Panchayati Raj in the state and starting construction of Lunglei bypass road.
The committee also objected the construction of the office of DIG Southern Range near Saikuti Hall.
