New Delhi: The controversy over Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) audit of Vijay Mallya’s crisis-hit Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) was reignited on Thursday after a report claimed that the audit report has been diluted.
The Indian Express, which has access to both the audit reports, claims that DGCA in its first audit report had found that KFA had committed irregularities in managing flight, serious enough that it could lead to the airline losing its flying permit.
As per the audit report, the airline cancelled more flights than it had reported to the regulator, held back information about grounded aircraft when schedules were approved, failed to list more than 100 approved flights on its systems.
