‘No imported material for airport construction'

Nashik: To cut down construction costs of the passenger terminal building at Ozar airport, the PWD is planning to reconsider the original design of the airport by substituting imported material with local construction material.
The PWD, which did not get an adequate response and appropriate bids in response to tenders invited by it for the terminal, has invited fresh tenders.
Department officials responsible for monitoring the project's design blamed the weaking rupee for the re-tendering process.
