Plane tyre bursts on takeoff

Kolkata: One hundred passengers and six crew members on board a Jet Airways flight to Agartala had a close shave when the aircraft's tyre burst during the takeoff sequence around 4pm on Thursday. The left rear tyre of the plane burst after the pilot applied emergency brake following an alarm in the cockpit, indicating that the front door was not securely shut.
