Several officials of AAI may get multiple promotions soon

Chennai: Several assistant general managers and officers in the unified Airports Authority of India (AAI) may get multiple promotions as the recommendations given by a three-member committee constituted by the ministry of civil aviation (MoCA) are expected to be implemented soon. Sources said the committee has recommended February 1, 2005, as cut-off date for seniority.
The seniority issue is a bone of contention for employees of International Airports Authority of India (IAAI) since its merger with the National Airports Authority of India (NAAI) in 1995.
While AAI constituted many committees to settle the matter, the implementation of seniority has not been done for the last 17 years.
