New Delhi: The board meeting of national carrier Air India will take place on Friday in the capital during which several crucial issues facing the carrier will be discussed.
Sources said these could include proposals for leasing out prime properties of the airline for revenue generation, discussion on the process to sell the Boeing 787 dreamliners — currently being acquired from Boeing — to financial institutions from whom the aircraft will then be leased back to Air India. This will be done as part of the cost-cutting measures.
