Bangalore: Even as the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) is expected to issue a consultation paper with regard to the proposed hike in the charges at Mumbai airport, the Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) authorities have said that it is in discussion with the regulator to facilitate a revision of charges at an appropriate time.
BIAL currently charges Rs5,000 per single landing of international flights and Rs3,000 per single landing of domestic flights.
In response to a query if BIAL has put up a proposal before the AERA for a hike in airport charges at the Bangalore airport and if is expecting the regulator to issue a consultation paper with regard to the proposed hike anytime soon, a BIAL official said that revision in airport fees pertaining to BIA will be considered by AERA at an appropriate time.
