Doubts put to rest; Bangalore to host Aero India-2013

Bangalore: The confusion regarding whether Aero India-2013 would be organised or not in Bangalore, has been cleared. The Defence Ministry has confirmed that the 2013 edition of the Aero India will be held in Bangalore. The organisers have already started the registration process for the bi-annual show.
"Earlier this year, there was a proposal to shift the Aero India out from Bangalore to ensure that operations of commercial flights at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) are not affected. During the rehearsals for Aero India, aircraft operations at BIA are normally halted from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 3.30 pm," said a member of the organising committee. However, the proposal of shifting the show from Bangalore was opposed by the state government.
