Indore: Even after seven months of inauguration of the new airport terminal at Indore aiport, Airport Authority of India (AAI) has failed to award contract for parking at airport. In absence of the parking facility visitor park their vehicles where they get space. It has also deprived airport from the huge amount of revenue from parking.
Initially AAI invited e-tenders twice for the parking but failed to get any bidder. Unable to get any response airport authority called physical tender a month back for parking. Now, AAI has got bidder for the contract it has stuck in red tappism as technical bids are yet to be finalised. Explaining the reason behind delays, airport director R N Shinde said that technical bids were being reviewed at the Mumbai office.
