Cochin International Airport Limited(CIAL) has announced that its newly built canopy for passengers is ready for use.
The passengers can alight under the vast canopy before boarding a flight or taking a vehicle after the journey.
The facility, according to the press note, will be inaugurated by the Minister for Fisheries, Ports and Excise, K Babu, who is also a Director of CIAL, on October 22.
The construction work of the canopy which commenced last November was estimated at a cost of around Rs 6 crores, covering an area of 52,800 sq feet with four lane tarred road running through the covered area.
