Did civil aviation ministry go soft on Kingfisher Airlines?

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh might have been taking tough stand against troubled private carrier Kingfisher Airlines during his interactions with the media, but an industry insider has revealed that his ministry went soft on Vijay Mallya's debt-ridden company .
The man in know of how things unfolded over the last one year told Headlines Today on Tuesday that the Kingfisher crisis could have been averted had former Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) E.K Bharat Bhushan's recommendations been followed.
He insisted that while Bhushan's hands were tied, the minister claimed that the current DGCA was empowered to act now. It is believed that Bhushan had decided to issue notice to Kingfisher on the day he was axed as DGCA.
