Mumbai: With only 70% of its arrivals and departures on time, flights operated by Kingfisher Airlines to and from Mumbai airport had the worst punctuality record in September. If the flight departure schedule maintained by domestic airlines in September is compared, IndiGo and Jet had the best on-time performance levels, with 94% of takeoffs operated by them being on time. Though Kingfisher operates the least number of flights out of Mumbai a day, it had the highest percentage of delayed flights. About 23% of its departures and arrivals, or one in four flights, was behind time. Kingfisher was followed by Air India, with 13% of departures delayed.
