French agency to train air crash investigators

The Civil Aviation Ministry has joined hands with Bureau d’ Enquetes et d’ Analysis (BEA) of France to develop skills of Indian air crash investigators for making their probe methodology more credible and world class.
Civil Aviation Secretary, K N Srivastava inaugurated a seminar on ‘Aircraft Accident or Incident Investigation Techniques and Management Course’, which is being conducted and organised by Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), at the Indian Aviation Academy today.
“The three-day course, which has been developed in close collaboration with the accident investigation community, pools considerable expertise and experience of investigators, operators and researchers to deliver a level of training of the highest standards,” the Ministry said in a statement.
