Lagardere Group strikes Indian JV for airport retail

Mumbai: LS Tavel Retail, a part of the French-multinational conglomerate Lagardere Group has struck a joint venture partnership with Travel Food Services (TFS), an India food & beverage operator in the Indian travel sector.
The JV will explore duty free opportunities at Indian airports in cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore. TFS will also exclusively develop Lagardere Group's Relay-branded stores in the country across airports, metros and railway stations.
Relay is a chain of stores selling newspapers, magazines, books, mostly based in train stations and airports. It is owned by the Lagardere group which also owns LS Travel. Relay is present across 1300 locations in more than 20 countries presently.
