New Delhi: The Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport turned playground for monkey on Tuesday, with the simian taking a “trip” to the spa on the premises, breaking flower pots and damaging plants, eating bananas and scaring passengers.
All this as the officials ran around trying to capture the creature of the wild, which finally “disappeared” in the evening.
The monkey, airport officials said, entered through a window inside a spa around 12.30 pm. It spent a few minutes at the spa and then walked out to the passenger area.
“It made its way through the airport destroying plants and flower pots and settled on the pillar near one of the boarding gates. It climbed the pillar using a nearby pole. Passengers raised an alarm after the monkey refused to budge despite them trying to scare him away,” an airport official said.
