New Delh: The Supreme Court Friday directed the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority Appellate Tribunal (AERAAT) to hear the case on legality of Airport Development Fee (ADF) levied and collected by private operator DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited) at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
A bench of Justice DK Jain and Justice Madan B. Lokur today remanded the case back to the AERAAT after setting aside the tribunal’s May order which dismissed the plea filed by NGO, Consumer Online Foundation, against levy of ADF.
The court asked the tribunal to hear the case expeditiously after counsels for the parties, including those of Airport Economic Regulatory Authority, Airport Authority, Consumer Online Foundation and Federation of Indian Airlines, said that they had not objection to the case being sent back to the appellate tribunal.
