Air India Express headquarters to start functioning in Kochi

Kochi: The headquarters of Air India Express (AIE) will finally start functioning from Kochi on January 1, according to minister of state for civil aviation K C Venugopal.
"The decision to shift the AIE headquarters from Mumbai to Kochi was taken sometime back. But it was delayed due to various reasons. Now we have taken a final decision, and the chief operating officer (COO) and all other top officials will start functioning at the Kochi office from January 1," the minister said.
He said AIE would make announcements in Malayalam in its flights in the Gulf sector. The crew in the airline will be given training to deal with passengers. Also, PR setups of AIE will be strengthened in airports at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Mangalore.
