Air India Express to improve services

Air India Express, the low-cost airline from India’s national carrier, plans to improve passenger handling with new courses for cabin crew and ground staff at airports, senior officials said on Thursday.
The move by the airline that flies the highest number of flights between the Gulf countries and the south Indian state of Kerala comes after a series of passenger protests, including the hijack drama at Trivandrum airport, due to alleged misbehaviour of the airline employees during flight cancellations and delays.
Hailing from Kerala, India’s new Minister of State for Civil Aviation, K.C. Venugopal, said special training will be given to Air India Express crew on passenger interactions. Venugopal who is on a private visit to the UAE to participate in an expatriate association’s programme was addressing a Meet the Press organised by the Indian Media Forum in Dubai.
