Thiruvananthapuram: When two premier Russian Charters chose to fly down to Thiruvananthapuram, it was left to Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) to ‘manage’ them.
AISATS is a 50:50 joint venture between NACIL (now known as Air India) and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS).
It managed ground handling services for Nordwind Airlines and OrenAir on their maiden flights to Kerala at the international airport here on October 21 and 22.
The launch of these air services was the first in south India by the Russian charters, an AISTAS spokesperson said here.
The mandate was to provide end-to-end airport services ranging from passenger, ramp and baggage handling.
