Bhubaneswar/Rourkela: The experimental flight of a nine-seater aircraft of Air Odisha touched down at Rourkela airport in the evening after being flagged off at Bhubaneswar, fulfilling a long standing demand of the people travelling to the steel city and nearby industrial and mining belts, official sources said.
The flight between state capital Bhubaneswar and steel city of Rourkela will provide air connectivity to various industrial hubs in Odisha.
From tomorrow full fledged commercial flights will begin linking Bhubaneswar and Rourkela with a stop at Jarsuguda, sources said.
The Odisha-based airline plans to extend its service to other important places in the state as well as to Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.
