Bravia Capital Explores Investment in SpiceJet

Mumbai:Hong Kong-based Bravia Capital, a private-equity firm that often partners with China’s HNA Group, is in exploratory talks to invest in SpiceJet Ltd., 500285.BY +2.38% the Indian budget carrier said Thursday.
“We are in talks with Bravia Capital and some others,” SpiceJet Chief Executive Neil Mills said, but added that it has not finalized any investor yet.
“We have always said we will only raise funds if we get a good deal,” Mr. Mills told Dow Jones Newswires.
Mr. Mills said the company hasn’t decided yet on how much money to raise, neither did he name other investors the airline is in talks with.
If it signs a deal, the airline could use the money to fund purchase of aircraft. It is scheduled to take delivery of six Boeing BA +1.06% planes next year.
