Mumbai airport to become shoppers’ paradise

Shopaholics have something to cheer about as the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is soon going to get a much better and larger duty-free shopping area at Terminal 2, which is under construction.
According to airport officials, an exclusive duty-free shopping area will be allotted for electronic goods at the upcoming Terminal 2. Goods such as chocolates and liquor, among other things, are sold duty-free at the airport presently.
The Mumbai airport, whichis one of the busiest airports in Asia, is expected to ferry over 40 million passengers every year once the terminal becomes operational by next year.
Terminal 2, which is also known as T2, is expected to be a state-of-the-art four-level, integrated terminal with an area of over 4,39,000 sq metres.
