Vigilance team visits Indore airport

Indore: A team of vigilance officers of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) paid a visit at Devi Ahilya Airport to investigate the allegations of infrastructural shortcomings in the newly built international terminal building. The visit occurred after a day when principal secretary to the chief minister Manoj Srivastava visited the airport to explore possibilities of setting up an aerospace at the airport.
The new terminal building was constructed at a cost of Rs 135 crore and is now under the scanner after several allegations of anomalies reached to the officials of DGCA officials in New Delhi. Earlier also a vigilance team had visited the airport in connection with the allegations. The team comprised two vigilance officers from Mumbai. According to sources, the team members recorded statements of the airport employees and checked paper work.
