DGCA representatives to probe Cessna plane skid

Nagpur: A team from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will be visiting Nagpur in the third week of December to investigate the skidding of the Cessna training plane christened Charlie 172. With different authorities giving varied reasons, the exact cause of skidding is still not clear.
Sources at the Air Traffic Control (ATC) have claimed that no report of a dog on the runway was made to them when the Nagpur Flying Club (NFC) plane skid off the runway on November 30. "Though the trainee pilot made a statement to the effect outside, he had not mentioned the presence of the dog to the ATC," sources informed. Officials doubt that the young trainee pilot must have lost balance and skid off and in that moment of panic said that there was a dog on the runway.
