Geetika suicide case: Move to make Kanda's aide approver nixed


New Delhi:  A Delhi court today dropped the proceedings to make Chanshivroop, an employee of ex-Haryana minister Gopal Kanda and co-accused in the Geetika suicide case, an approver.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate D K Jangala dropped the proceedings, begun earlier on Chanshivroop's plea, after he repeatedly failed to appear before the court.
"Proceedings of approver initiated on the application moved by the applicant/ accused Chanshivroop Singh, are dropped. The investigating officer is directed to proceed in the matter as per the provisions of law," the court said.
Chanshivroop, had filed an application before the court expressing his willingness to turn approver in the case and was out on bail.
An assistant manager in Kanda's MDLR, he had allegedly gone to Dubai where Geetika was working with Emirates Airlines and told its officials that she had secured a job with MDLR on the basis of fake and forged documents.
