Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad registered a three per cent fall in passenger traffic in the first half of the current fiscal, as grim economic conditions hit aviation sector globally.
“The fall in domestic passengers was steep, but due to an increase in international traffic, we could make up some of the lost ground,”
Vikram Jaisinghani, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, told mediapersons here today.
Last fiscal, the airport registered total passenger traffic of 8.6 million. “This year, we may end up with more or less the same figure, as international traffic continues to increase,” he said.
