Jet flight aborts take-off as another makes 'go-around'

Mumbai: A flight from here had to abort take-off as another aircraft coming in decided to make a go-around at the last minute. Though there was no breach of separation involved, the matter was reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The Jet airways flight from Mumbai to Riyadh was preparing for take-off at 7.30 pm. Flight 9W 524 was lined on the main runway and was supposed to take-off after an arriving Jet airways flight from Delhi had landed. Airport sources said the flight from Delhi, 9W 362, was on the final approach when the pilot decided to go-around.
DGCA sources said the pilot cited unstable landing and the air traffic control asked for a go-around (notified procedure which can be carried out by aircraft in case of a blockage on the runway, or if the pilot feels unstable about landing). It is routinely carried out to avoid complications in landing.
