Hyderabad: A SpiceJet aircraft departing for Hyderabad on Thursday night hit an electric pole on the runway before take-off and damaged a wing at Delhi's IGI airport.
All the 137 passengers and 10 crew members were evacuated safely. Later, all passengers were sent through a special aircraft.
According to airport officials, Hyderabad-bound flight SG 339 was scheduled to take off at 7:45 pm. The pilot took the aircraft on taxiway and then it was brought on the runway. The aircraft was running 10 meter away from the central line on the runway while taking off. When the aircraft arrived in apron area at the 1D, its one wing got smashed into high mass light.
