Bhubaneswar: Wild animals seem to be having a free run at Biju Patnaik airport. A wild cat was on Thursday night caught in a cage put up by Nandankanan zoo officials at the operational area of the city airport. The caged animal was taken away by zoo officials later.
The incident has confirmed the airport authorities' complaint that wild animals pose a danger to flight movements on the flight path. Airport authorities had sought the help of Nandankanan zoo officials to tackle the movement of jackals and other animals on the runway at night.
