6.37 acre of land for airport expansion


Patna: Decks have been cleared for the much-awaited expansion of city's Jayaprakash Narayan International airport with the Bihar cabinet approving the transfer of 6.37 acres of land owned by the state home (special) department to the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Briefing reporters after a cabinet meeting here on Tuesday, additional secretary (cabinet coordination department) Vinod Prasad Singh said the land would be transferred to the AAI for Rs 114.66 crore. The land, adjacent to the city airport, is currently used by the STF.
