Blast threat puts Mumbai airport on high alert

Mumbai: Following an intelligence input from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), security in and aroundMumbai airport has been increased. With the Republic Day approaching and the country on high alert, the BCAS has warned that anti-national elements could possibly use computer cartridges to create explosions.
According to sources, the BCAS has also asked security agencies and airlines to be very strict while scanning cargo boxes as they received tip-offs about explosives being planted inside them.
