Mangalore: Jet Airways commenced international flight operations from Mangalore with the taking off of a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 flight from Mangalore International Airport to Dubai.
Jet Airways is the first private sector operator to introduce international flights from Mangalore. The flight number 9W 532 with economy seating for 170 passengers departed from Mangalore at 8pm to Dubai.
Jet Airways senior vice president - commercial Gaurang Shetty said the flight will help strengthen the air connectivity from tier II Indian destinations into the Gulf. "Guests can enjoy an inaugural Economy Class return fare of Rs. 20,360 onwards being offered on the Mangalore - Dubai - Mangalore route with travel valid until March 31, 2013. Similarly, the One-way fare ex-India is Rs 10,101," he said.
