Mangalore: The UAE-based Karnataka NRI Forum has asked private airlines to operate flights from Mangalore to Saudi.
Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, Rajesh Sequera, coordinator of Karnataka NRI Forum, said that Jet Airways will be the first private carrier to operate flights between Mangalore and Dubai from January 3. (As of now, Air India Express is the only carrier to operate from Mangalore to other destinations in West Asia.)
He said private carriers should also focus on connecting other destinations in the West Asian countries.
