KFA withdrawal has other airlines on a high

With Kingfisher Airlines missing from the flight schedule of the Pune Airport since October, other airlines are making hay. The latest data released by the Airport Authorities of India (AAI) in Pune shows the Kingfisher passenger load stands shared between GoAir, IndiGo and SpiceJet, besides Indian Airlines.
Incidentally, till the beginning of last year, KFA was flying to the maximum number of destinations from Pune and handling the highest number of passengers after IndiGo.
According to the data (December 2011-December 2012) shared by the AAI, the airline owned by Vijay Mallya would witness 666 flight movements and handle almost 65,118 passengers a month — the second highest after IndiGo that was flying 67,837 passengers in 396 flight movements — during this time last year. And while Kingfisher flight movements are down to zero ever since the Directorate General of Civil Aviation suspended its flying licence in October 2012, the passenger load of all other airlines has substantially gone up.
