New Delhi: Kingfisher AirlinesBSE 1.63 % came better prepared to meet aviation regulator DGCA on Wednesday presenting no-objection certificates by oil and leasing companies, claiming to start operations this summer but authorities remained unconvinced in the absence of concrete funding plans.
In the backdrop of a lenders meet to take place on January 18, Kingfisher Airlines CEO Sanjay Agarwal met Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) chief Arun Mishra to apprise him of the situation at the grounded carrier, which has not paid its employees for the past eight months.
"Kingfisher Airlines expressed readiness to fly from the upcoming summer schedule but still doesn't have a proof of commitment from UB Group on funding. They also don't have NOC from airport operators," DGCA sources said.
