Kingfisher staff left in lurch; govt washes off hand

Civil Aviation Minister, Ajit Singh today expressed his inability to interfere in the affairs of Kingfisher Airlines ' employees. Although, he said he hopes Kingfisher takes wings again for the sake of its 4000 odd employees, there is nothing he can do for the hapless employees of Vijay Mallya's airline, reports CNBC-TV18's Sumit Jha.
Civil Aviation Minister, Ajit Singh dashed the hopes of Kingfisher employees when he said, his ministry could not do much to interfere and get the employees their dues. He also sounded unsure if any other other governmental department can come out and help them.
Kingfisher management had brokered a deal with their employees in late October and promised them scattered payment of salaries. However, two months down the line those promises still remain unfulfilled.
