Nagpur airport needs better connectivity, work culture for ISO 27000 certification

Nagpur: Authorities need to introduce better connectivity options, procedural changes and a high tech work approach to acquire ISO 27000 certification for Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. These requirements surfaced as a special team of consultants from Ahmedabad supervised the second phase of accreditation procedure on January 10, 11 and 12.
Experts pointed out that there was a need to set up an additional communication system option which is an important criteria for ISO 27000 certification. Currently, BSNL is the sole service render to the airport. A portion of the air traffic control data comes from Bhopal which is delivered by BSNL through optical fiber cables (OFC).
