A Russian tourist was prevented from boarding a Colombo-bound aircraft at Madurai for possessing an air gun on Thursday morning.
Though immigration officials did not object to his possession or travel with the air gun, the personnel of SpiceJet aircraft bound for Colombo did not permit him to board the flight. He ultimately handed over the airgun at a local police station and left for Colombo.
