New Delhi: Air travellers will no longer be required to show a printout of their tickets to enter airports. The government has now allowed them to show e-tickets on mobiles, laptops or tablets to security personnel at airport entry points. The aviation ministry spokesman said that the Bureau for Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) issued orders to this effect on Monday.
The ministry spokesman said, "The move will reduce the need for printouts and have a major environmental impact. Aviation minister Ajit Singh has directed that passenger-friendly moves be initiated and there will be more such announcements in coming days."
