New Delhi: Vacating its 23-storey iconic headquarters at the Nariman Point in Mumbai, national carrier Air India has shifted its corporate office to New Delhi with immediate effect.
The Indian Airlines House at the Parliament Street on Delhi will take over as the airline's new headquarters.
All Air India board members, along with a substantial number of key officials traveling to and fro between the two cities, will now function from the national capital, vacating atleast 10 office spaces in Mumbai including those in Kalina, Santa Cruz and others around the airport.
""This is being done in the backdrop of Air India's asset-monetisation plan. The airline will hereby retain only the 21st, 22nd and 23rd floors at the Nariman Point office,"" a senior AI executive told ET.
