DIAL invites Expression of Interest for Cargo Village Project at Delhi Airport


The operator of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi has issued a public notice inviting Expression of Interest (IEoI) from interested parties for the development of a cargo village.
The cargo village is being planned as part of the efforts to develop the airport's Terminal 3 as an aviation hub, a press release from Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd (DIAL) said here today.
"DIAL has initiated its efforts to establish Delhi Airport as the ‘The Cargo Gateway of India’. The operator has identified areas for world class cargo infrastructure for both 1st and 2nd tier layer of overall air cargo supply chain. Cargo Terminal Operator and airlines form the 1st tier of stakeholders while freight forwarders and 3PL players form 2nd tier in the overall air cargo supply chain," the release said.
